Breaking News: Dolphins Relase CB Michael Lehan from Injured Reserve

The Dolphins trimmed their books a little yesterday, releasing cornerback Michael Lehan from injured reserve. The 29-year-old Lehan was re-signed to a three-year, $4.95 million contract in February.

A fifth-round pick by Cleveland in 2003, Lehan originally signed with the Dolphins as a free agent in 2006. He started a career-high 14 games at cornerback in 2007 under first-year head coach Cam Cameron.

Plagued with hamstring and ankle injuries throughout training camp and into the regular season, Lehan appeared in just five games for the Dolphins in 2008 before being placed on injured reserve Oct. 24.

I'll have more on this move as well as the Dolphins' two practice squad additions later today.
