Breaking News: Dolphins Sign G Joe Berger

According to Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald, the Dolphins have signed free agent guard Joe Berger to a three-year contract.

A sixth-round pick by the Carolina Panthers out of Michigan Tech in 2005, Berger spent the 2005 and 2006 seasons with the Dolphins before being claimed off waivers by the Dallas Cowboys.

The move reunites Berger with Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano, who was his offensive line coach in Dallas. Per Salguero, the 6-foot-5, 310-pound Berger could push both Samson Satele at center and Donald Thomas at right guard.

I'll have more on this move and any other moves the Dolphins make in the coming weeks.
