It's been slow in Dolphins Land lately, but that will all change once the 2008 NFL season officially ends tomorrow and the offseason really starts to pick up in February.
For the second straight year, I'll be doing videos every few days leading up to free agency breaking down each position on the Dolphins' roster and analyzing where we stand, if we need help and who we might bring in at the position. I'll release my schedule for those videos on Monday, and the first one will be the day after that.
For now, I'll just be positing my prediction for Super Bowl XLIII between the Arizona Cardinals and Pittsburgh Steelers. Some people are hating on this game because no one really cares about Arizona, but I like the matchup and I'm anticipating a good contest.
I think what we have here is a good battle between a very potent Arizona offense and an outstanding Steelers defense. Obviously Pittsburgh has some talent on offense as well and the Cardinals' defense has had a great postseason, but I think this game will be decided by how much pressure the Steelers get on Kurt Warner.
Larry Fitzgerald is an absolutely amazing receiver, but if the Steelers' pass rush led by James Harrison and LaMarr Woodley can knock Warner around early, it's going to take Fitz out of the game.
It's certainly not a given and like I said I expect a good game, but in the end I have to go with one of the best defenses I've seen in my lifetime. I like the Steelers to shut down the Cardinals' offense enough to come out on top, winning their second Super Bowl in four years and sixth in franchise history.
