In a not-so-surprising move, the Dolphins have reportedly traded third-year center Samson Satele to the Oakland Raiders. The Palm Beach Post broke the story early Monday morning.
The compensation Miami will receive from Oakland not yet been disclosed, though it's most likely a late-round pick in the 2009 NFL Draft. It'd be nice to get a mid-rounder, maybe a fourth or fifth, but that might be unrealistic.
Coincidentally, Satele will replace new Dolphins center Jake Grove in Oakland. Grove signed with Miami this offseason as a free agent from Oakland to replace Satele, who had reportedly fallen out of favor with the Dolphins' staff.
I'll have more on this move in the coming days, so stay tuned.
