The Dolphins have added their fifth undrafted rookie free agent, this time signing New Mexico State wide receiver Chris Williams to a contract.William (5-7, 170) appeared in 42 games for the Aggies and caught 246 passes for 3,265 yards and 32 touchdowns. He also amassed 1,033 kick return yards, 297 punt return yards and three return touchdowns.
Given his size, speed (mid-4.3 range in the 40-yard dash) and the ten wideouts ahead of him on the depth chart, it's safe to say Williams will be attempting to make the team as a returner. Think of him as this year's Jayson Foster.

If the Dolphins give Chris Williams a real shot, they will find themselves with a real game breaking jewel! Chris has blinding speed on the field, can seperate from any defensive back and will catch the game breaking deep balls. Get him the ball any where in the defensive backfield and he will do the rest. I watched him for 4 years straight.
He's probably a long shot to make the team at this point though. Too many bodies in front of him.
Look for him to return punts and kicks. He break into the receiving corps in time.
Chris Williams has always amazed us onlookers on the field. Ever so often a player comes along and defies all the odds. For as long as I could remember watching this brilliant young man, he has never failed us with his amazing athletic abilities. The Dolphins have really found a jewel in this one. Good Luck Chris....
I am from the same town where chris played High School football. He is an outstanding young man and a exciting football player to watch. He has been told he is undersized at every level and at every level he has has overcome to acheive great things because of his work ethic. Chris, everyone here in New Mexico is rooting for you. Go Chris!!
