9:33 a.m. — Agent Ralph Cindrich tweets that nose tackle Montavious Stanley has been waived.
10:13 a.m. — Jeff Darlington reports wide receivers Julius Pruitt and Patrick Turner have been waived. Marlon Moore and Roberto wallace have made the team, for now.
10:38 a.m. — Center Andrew Hartline reports on his own facebook that he has been released.
11:07 a.m. — Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post is reporting rookie seventh-round linebacker Austin Spitler has been cut.
11:17 a.m. — Omar Kelly reports outside linebacker Erik Walden has been cut.
11:29 a.m. — Adam Schefter tweets that the Dolphins have cut guard Donald Thomas. Saw that one coming all preseason, but didn't end up predicting it in my final projection because Garner's injury shook things up. Damn.
11:55 a.m. — Aaron Wilson reports that defensive end Lionel Dotson has been waived.
12:30 p.m. — Omar Kelly says offensive tackle Andrew Gardner has gotten the ax.
12:35 p.m. — Rejoice, Dolphins fans! Ben Volin of the Palm Beach Post reports quarterback Pat White has been waived.
1:48 p.m. — Another expected move, as cornerback Kevin Hobbs has been cut, according to Mike Berardino.
1:59 p.m. — Berardino also reports that linebacker J. D. Folsom and defensive end Ryan Baker have been waived. Baker is a likely practice squad candidate if he clears, but I doubt Folsom returns.
4:59 p.m. (sorry, went to the Apple Store) — Multiple reports confirm that veteran tight end David Martin has been released. His agent is quoted as saying "It was a shock to all of us." Either they really like Nalbone, have another tight end in mind that currently isn't on the roster, or they'll re-sign Martin after Week One when his deal isn't guaranteed.
8:49 p.m. (just returned from dinner) — The remain six cuts have been revealed, and they are safety Jonathon Amaya, guard Ray Feinga, fullback Rolly Lumbala, outside linebacker Chris McCoy, cornerback Nate Ness, and cornerback Ross Weaver.
- 53 players on active roster
- 20 cut so far
- 0 more cuts to make
With final cuts now in the books, I'll be writing up an article breaking down each player's release, and discussing some of the surprise cuts (and keeps) the Dolphins made today.
