Week 14 NFL Game Predictions

A solid but not spectacular performance in Week 13, but I'm 1-0 this week with the Pittsburgh victory I'm and smelling another good series of picks.

Last week's record: 11-5
2011 season record: 130-63 (67.4%)

Bengals over Texans — The Texans pulled off a nice win with third-string rookie T. J. Yates at the helm, but it's hard to imagine they'll do it again on the road against a good Bengals team that plays the run well.

Lions over Vikings — Minnesota is coming off a deflating home loss to the Tebows and doesn't have the offensive firepower to keep up with the Lions, however undisciplined Detroit may be.

Saints over Titans — Chris Johnson is racking up yards like his old self again, but I'm not sure Tennessee has enough talent on offense to keep up with the Saints.

Dolphins over Eagles — This game sure looked a lot different before the season, didn't it? I think the Eagles have more talent and they could easily win this game with Michael Vick back, but these teams are heading in totally opposite directions and I can't pick against the Dolphins right now as well as they are playing.

Jets over Chiefs — New York has been pretty inspiring all season, but I don't see any way they get beat by whatever quarterback the Chiefs trots out there.

Patriots over Redskins — Rex Grossman is forgetting he's Rex Grossman again and playing well, but I don't see any way he'll be able to top the Patriots' offense even with New England's defense being pretty bad.

Falcons over Panthers — I had Carolina picked up until today given that they're at home and and the Falcons choked in Houston this weak, but now I think Atlanta rebounds and follows up last week's disaster with a tough divisional win on the road.

Buccaneers over Jaguars — I could see Jacksonville winning this one at home, but it's so hard to pick them given how bad Blaine Gabbert has been. With Josh Freeman back at the helm, I think Tampa Bay does enough to win this Florida battle.

Ravens over Colts — There is simply no reason to pick the Colts. Ever.

Broncos over Bears — As much as I hate Tim Tebow, the Broncos are playing well as a team right now and Chicago can't seem to do anything without Jay Cutler and Matt Forte. Denver should win this one.

49ers over Cardinals — Arizona pulled out an overtime win against the Cowboys last week thanks to Dallas icing its own kicker, but I don't see it happening this week against a 49ers team that can do no wrong.

Packers over Raiders — Oakland looked completely helpless last week in Miami, so I see the perfect Packers staying undefeated in Week 14.

Chargers over Bills — Buffalo has really fallen off in the second half, so I don't see them outscoring the Chargers on the West Coast.

Cowboys over Giants — New York is coming into this game on a much better note, having nearly bested the Packers in Week 13 while the Cowboys lost a heart-breaker to the Cardinals. That being said, I think Dallas rebounds in a big divisional game at home.

Seahawks over Rams — Former Dolphins practice-squadder Tom Brandstater is making his first NFL start, so it could get quite ugly against a Seahawks team that knows how to win.
