Divisional round game predictions

I went 3-1 in my wild card picks last week, with the lone black mark coming in the Steelers' inexplicable loss to the Broncos. In my defense, I was under the impression that the Steelers would not play the dumbest defensive game in history and be able to beat a team without a real quarterback, but I guess I was wrong.

Last week's record: 3-1
2011 season record: 173-87 (66.5%)

Saints over 49ers — This is sure to be an interesting battle between two very different styles of teams, but I have to go with Drew Brees and the Saints' offense to win out even on the road against an elite defense.

Patriots over Broncos — I don't care what happened last week—the Steelers gave the game away by playing stupid defense against a terrible quarterback. Tim Tebow won't be so lucky this time and I expect the Patriots to route the Broncos for the second time this season.

Ravens over Texans — Houston's made a nice little run with rookie T. J. Yates in for Matt Schaub, but I think that ends this weekend. The Ravens are just too talented from top to bottom and I don't think the Texans will be able to do enough on offense to win. This game will certainly be a battle of the trenches though between Houston's great offensive line and Baltimore's front sevne.

Packers over Giants — Green Bay's defense is certainly lacking and the Giants provided a formidable opponent in their first matchup, but Aaron Rodgers and the Packers' offense always seems to be able to do enough to win. I expect that to happen once again.
